Description
This role is responsible for ultimate command of the vessel. Responsible for supporting vessel operations, for the safety of all on board personnel, the protection of the environment and the preservation of the vessel and all assets.
Duties:
-Oversee navigation and stability, supervises operations, equipment, and auxiliaries and ensures compliance with operating procedures, and maintenance requirements
-Able to make decisions in all situations to ensure the prevention of injury to anyone onboard the vessel, and the pollution from and/or damage to the vessel, another vessel or structure, property and/or the environment.
-Ensure the safety of the passengers on the vessel
-Ensure all vessel operations are being executed to the highest level of expectation
-Comply with all regulations and laws
-Safely navigate and maintain the vessel
