Location: United Kingdom Sector (Offshore Construction Vessel)

Job Description:

OSM Thome is recruiting experienced crew members to join an Offshore Construction Vessel operating in the United Kingdom sector. The vessel will be engaged in offshore construction activities, and we are looking for reliable and skilled individuals to fill the open positions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable offshore company, and the start date for the project is 31 January 2026. Successful candidates will contribute to the efficient and safe operations of the vessel while enjoying competitive pay and benefits.

Open Positions:

3rd Officer – Support the vessel’s navigation and ensure safe watchkeeping in compliance with maritime regulations.
AB (Able Seaman) – Assist with deck operations, mooring, maintenance, and safety duties on-board the vessel.
OS (Ordinary Seaman) – Provide general deck support including maintenance, cleaning, and assisting in mooring and navigation.
Rigger – Responsible for rigging and securing loads for lifting operations, ensuring safety during offshore construction tasks.
Motorman – Assist in the maintenance and operation of the vessel's engine room and mechanical systems.
Oiler – Perform daily engine room operations, oiling, greasing, and ensuring all machinery is maintained for optimal performance.
Chief Cook – Responsible for preparing and serving meals for the crew, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the galley.
Steward/ess – Responsible for housekeeping and providing hospitality services, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and comfort for the crew.
2nd Cook – Assist the Chief Cook in meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

For Deck and Engine Roles:

  • Assist with deck operations, lifting, rigging, and mooring activities.
  • Perform routine maintenance of machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure safety measures are followed during offshore operations.
  • Carry out routine checks and inspections on deck and in engine spaces.
  • Maintain logbooks and accurate records of tasks, inspections, and maintenance.
  • Proactively report and resolve any safety hazards or operational issues.

For Catering Roles:

  • Ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the galley and dining areas.
  • Assist in meal preparation and service for all crew members.
  • Adhere to food safety protocols and proper storage of food items.
  • Provide excellent guest service and hospitality to the crew.
  • Maintain inventory records for food and supplies.

Requirements:

General:

  • Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness.
  • Prior offshore experience in a similar role is highly preferred.
  • Valid Passport, Seaman’s Book, and other relevant maritime documentation.

Specific:

  • 3rd Officer: Valid CoC as 3rd Officer with experience in watchkeeping and navigation.
  • AB/OS: Valid Able Seaman Certificate (AB II/5) or Ordinary Seaman Certificate.
  • Rigger: Previous offshore rigging experience or relevant certification (preferred).
  • Motorman/Oiler: Experience in engine room operations with a mechanical or technical background.
  • Catering Positions: Previous offshore catering experience is preferred for the Chief Cook, 2nd Cook, and Steward roles.
