Job Description

Y-Ships is currently recruiting experienced maritime professionals to join its fleet of Multipurpose AHTS / Pusher Tugs and High-Speed Offshore Support / Crew Vessels.

The company is seeking qualified deck officers, engineers, ratings, and catering crew to support safe and efficient marine and offshore operations. Candidates with previous experience on AHTS, Pusher Tugs, Offshore Support Vessels, Crew Vessels, or similar vessels are encouraged to apply.

Freshers may also apply, depending on position and company requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:

  • Perform duties according to rank and vessel procedures.
  • Support safe navigation and offshore marine operations.
  • Conduct towing, anchor-handling, mooring, cargo, and deck operations as applicable.
  • Operate and maintain propulsion, auxiliary, deck, and safety equipment.
  • Carry out planned maintenance and routine inspections.
  • Support offshore supply and crew transfer operations.
  • Prepare and serve meals and maintain galley standards for catering positions.
  • Participate in emergency drills, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with STCW, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and company HSE procedures.
  • Maintain operational readiness and effective teamwork onboard.

Requirements

General Requirements

  • Relevant experience in the applied rank is preferred.
  • Previous experience on AHTS, Pusher Tugs, Offshore Support Vessels, Crew Vessels, or similar vessels is an advantage.
  • Valid STCW certification relevant to the position.
  • Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) / Certificate of Proficiency (COP) where applicable.
  • Valid Passport, Seaman's Book, and Medical Certificate.
  • Good English communication skills.
  • Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities.
  • Professional attitude and commitment to safe vessel operations.
  • Physically and medically fit for sea service.
  • Freshers may apply, subject to position-specific requirements.

Position-Specific Requirements

  • Officers: Valid CoC and required STCW certificates.
  • AB / Deckhand: Valid deck rating COP and relevant STCW certification.
  • Engine Officers: Valid Engineer CoC and relevant engine-room experience.
  • Oiler / Motorman: Valid engine rating certification as applicable.
  • Cook / Steward: Relevant shipboard catering or hospitality experience preferred.
