Curtin Maritime, Corp. is hiring experienced maritime professionals for upcoming and ongoing projects aboard tugboats and dredge vessels operating throughout the United States. We are seeking qualified candidates for multiple positions, including:
Dredge Captain
Tugboat Captain
Mate
Dredge Engineer
ETO (Electro Technical Officer)
Able Seaman (AB)
Crane Operator
Deckhand
Trainee Deckhand
Trainee Mate
These roles support full-scale operations involving towing, dredging, construction support, and equipment handling in dynamic maritime environments. Positions may be rotational or full-time, depending on the role and project.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Safe operation and maintenance of vessel systems and equipment
• Navigation, voyage planning, or assistance during dredging and towing operations
• Line handling, crane ops, or deck maintenance depending on role
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures
• Participating in drills, reporting, and daily vessel logs
Requirements:
• Valid STCW certificates and U.S. Coast Guard credentials (as required per position)
• TWIC Card and USCG Medical Certificate
• Merchant Mariner Credential with relevant endorsements (AB, Mate, Engineer, etc.)
• Proficiency in English communication
• U.S. Citizenship or valid U.S. work authorization (Jones Act Compliance)
• Prior experience on tugboats, dredge vessels, or related equipment (for non-trainee roles)
