Job Description

We are urgently recruiting qualified and experienced personnel for the Sabah Water Project in Sabah, Malaysia.

We are seeking candidates for positions across the Engine, Deck, Electrical and Mechanical Departments. Candidates must meet the nationality and work-authorization requirements for employment in Sabah.

Nationality / Work Authorization

STRICTLY FOR SABAHANS ONLY.

Candidates must be Sabah Malaysian. Applicants holding a valid permit to work in Sabah may also be considered.

Open Positions

Engine Department

• 3rd Engineer (3ENG) – 3 persons
• Oiler – 6 persons

Deck Department

• Able Seaman / Ordinary Seaman (AB/OS) – 8 persons

Electrical Department

• Electrician – 8 persons

Mechanical Department

• Mechanic – 8 persons

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:

• Perform all duties associated with the assigned position in accordance with project and company procedures.
• Support safe and efficient project operations.
• Carry out engine-room, deck, electrical or mechanical duties as applicable.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance and repair activities.
• Maintain equipment and working areas in safe operational condition.
• Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings and emergency procedures.
• Follow all applicable HSE, safety and environmental requirements.
• Work effectively as part of a professional project team.

Requirements

General Requirements

• Sabah Malaysian nationality – mandatory, or a valid legal permit to work in Sabah.
• Relevant experience in the same or similar position.
• Valid professional qualifications and certificates applicable to the position.
• Valid medical fitness certification where required.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills.
• Availability for mobilization in November 2026.
• Ability to work in the Sabah project environment.

Position-Specific Requirements

3rd Engineer

• Valid engineering qualification / Certificate of Competency appropriate to the position.
• Relevant engine-room experience.
• Experience in marine, offshore, utilities or similar projects is an advantage.

AB / OS

• Relevant deck-rating qualification.
• Previous deck or marine experience preferred.
• Ability to perform routine deck maintenance and operational duties.

Oiler

• Relevant engine-room rating qualification.
• Previous experience assisting with machinery operation, lubrication and maintenance.

Electrician

• Relevant electrical qualification or certification.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment support.

Mechanic

• Relevant mechanical qualification or trade certification.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance, repair and equipment support.
