Job Description

Helder Maritiem is currently recruiting experienced maritime and offshore professionals for a wide range of projects across the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Croatia, and the United States.

Available opportunities include offshore support vessels, survey vessels, multicats, accommodation barges, sailing vessels, and offshore construction projects. Contracts range from short-term assignments to long-term rotations and permanent career opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform navigational, engineering, and offshore operational duties according to rank
  • Support offshore construction, survey, accommodation, and marine support projects
  • Operate vessel machinery, propulsion systems, cranes, and winches where applicable
  • Maintain vessel equipment and operational readiness
  • Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings
  • Ensure compliance with STCW requirements, company HSE procedures, and international maritime regulations
  • Maintain safe and efficient vessel operations
  • Work effectively within multinational offshore teams

Requirements

General Requirements

  • Previous experience in the applied position
  • Valid STCW 2010 certification package
  • Valid passport and seafarer's medical certificate
  • Good English communication skills
  • Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills
  • Physically and medically fit for offshore service

Position-Specific Requirements

  • Master 500 GT+
    • Master 500 GT Certificate of Competency or higher
    • UK CoC preferred or willingness to complete the LAP course
    • Must currently reside in the Netherlands
    • Experience with remote vessel operations preferred
  • Second Engineer
    • Valid Second Engineer CoC
    • Previous experience on sailing vessels preferred
  • Able Seaman (AB)
    • Valid AB Certificate (STCW II/5)
    • Previous Offshore Support Vessel experience preferred
  • Barge Pilot / Winch Operator
    • Previous offshore accommodation or support barge experience
    • Winch operation experience preferred
  • Maritime Officer (Maroff)
    • Previous Multicat experience preferred
    • Offshore operational experience is an advantage
  • Chief Engineer / Third Engineer
    • Valid CoC appropriate to rank
    • Offshore vessel experience preferred
