Job Description
A leading maritime company is currently recruiting experienced crew members to join Split Hopper Barges operating in UK waters.
A valid UK Work Permit (UKWP) is mandatory for all positions. Candidates with previous experience on barges, dredging vessels, offshore vessels, or similar marine operations are encouraged to apply.

- Deckhand / Able Seaman (AB) — STCW II/5
Engine Department
- Motorman — STCW III/5

Catering Department
Job Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:
- Perform duties according to assigned rank and company procedures.
- Support safe barge and marine operations.
- Carry out deck maintenance, mooring, cargo, or dredging support activities as applicable.
- Operate and maintain assigned machinery and equipment.
- Assist with engine room maintenance and machinery operations where applicable.
- Prepare meals and maintain galley hygiene for catering positions.
- Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings.
- Follow company HSE procedures and UK maritime requirements.
- Maintain operational readiness throughout the contract.
Requirements
General Requirements
- Valid UK Work Permit (UKWP) – mandatory for all positions.
- Valid STCW certification appropriate to the position.
- Valid Passport and Seaman's Book.
- Valid Medical Certificate.
- Previous experience in the relevant position.
- Experience on Split Hopper Barges, dredging vessels, barges, or offshore vessels is preferred.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities.
- Physically and medically fit for marine work.
Position-Specific Requirements
- Deckhand / AB: Valid STCW II/5 certification.
- Motorman: Valid STCW III/5 certification.
- Greaser: Relevant engine-room experience and applicable STCW certification.
- Cook: Previous vessel or offshore catering experience and relevant food safety certification preferred.
