Job Description
Faststream is currently recruiting experienced offshore crew members to join a DP2 Research Vessel operating in UK waters.
The company is seeking qualified deck, engineering, technical, and catering personnel for a short-term offshore assignment. Successful candidates will support safe and efficient vessel operations while maintaining compliance with international maritime regulations and offshore HSE standards.

Job Responsibilities
Depending on the assigned position, duties may include:
- Perform duties according to assigned rank and vessel procedures.
- Support safe DP2 research vessel operations.
- Carry out deck maintenance, mooring, and cargo activities.
- Operate and maintain propulsion, auxiliary, and mechanical equipment.
- Perform planned maintenance and technical repairs.
- Support galley and catering operations where applicable.
- Participate in emergency drills, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures and maritime regulations.
- Maintain operational readiness throughout the contract.
Requirements
General Requirements
- Valid UK Right to Work or Frontier Worker Permit is mandatory.
- Previous experience in the same rank on similar vessels.
- Valid STCW certification relevant to the position.
- Valid Medical Certificate.
- Valid Drug & Alcohol (D&A) test.
- Valid Passport and Seaman's Book.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong safety awareness and teamwork abilities.
- Physically and medically fit for offshore service.
Position-Specific Requirements
Bosun
- Previous Bosun experience on offshore, research, or support vessels.
- Valid deck rating certification.
Third Engineer
- Valid Third Engineer Certificate of Competency.
- Relevant engineering experience on similar vessels.
Fitter
- Relevant mechanical/fitter qualification.
- Previous vessel or offshore maintenance experience.
Second Cook
- Previous shipboard or offshore catering experience.
- Relevant food hygiene certification preferred.
