Job Description

We are currently recruiting qualified and experienced crew members for tug boats operating in Africa.

The vessels are engaged in towing, berthing, unberthing, escort, and port/offshore support operations. Candidates must have relevant tug boat or similar vessel experience and be capable of working safely and efficiently in demanding marine environments.

Strong seamanship, technical competence, and strict adherence to safety standards are essential.

Open Positions

Deck Department

• Tug Master
• 3rd Officer
• Bosun
• Able Seaman (AB)

Engine Department

• Chief Engineer
• 2nd Engineer
• 4th Engineer
• Electrician

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Safe navigation and maneuvering during towing and escort operations
• Watchkeeping duties in accordance with rank and STCW regulations
• Assisting with towing, mooring, and deck operations
• Operation, monitoring, and maintenance of main engines and auxiliary systems
• Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting (for Electrician)
• Compliance with ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, and company HSE procedures
• Maintaining operational readiness and safety onboard

Requirements

• Valid STCW certificates relevant to the applied position
• Previous experience on tug boats or similar vessels
• Valid Seafarers Medical Certificate
• Passport and Seaman’s Book
• Good English communication skills
• Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills
• Documents valid minimum 18 months (preferred)
