Job Description

A marine recruitment opportunity is available for qualified and experienced seafarers to join a research vessel operating in Qatar. Applications are invited for deck, engine, electrical, and catering positions.

Candidates must have relevant maritime qualifications, professional experience, valid certificates, and the ability to work effectively as part of a professional marine crew.

• Cook – experience with Continental and Arabic cuisine required

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Ensure safe vessel navigation and operational compliance according to the assigned rank.
• Support research vessel operations and follow onboard procedures.
• Maintain engine-room machinery, electrical systems, and technical equipment as applicable.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance to ensure operational safety.
• Prepare meals and maintain galley hygiene and food safety standards for the Cook position.

Requirements

• Relevant maritime qualifications and professional experience.
• Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC), where applicable.
• Valid STCW certificates and relevant endorsements.
• Valid seafarer medical fitness certificate.
• Relevant sea-service records and supporting documents.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a professional marine crew.
• Good English communication skills.
• Cook applicants must have experience preparing Continental and Arabic cuisine.
