Job Description:
SWAR INDIA SHIPPING SERVICES PVT. LTD. is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join a Research Vessel (GRT 1000).
Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of experience as Chief Engineer or equivalent. Strong technical knowledge of Wärtsilä and Caterpillar engines is required, together with experience in engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhauls.

Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Managing and supervising all engine room operations.
• Ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of main and auxiliary engines.
• Planning and supervising machinery inspections, repairs, and overhauls.
• Troubleshooting technical problems involving Wärtsilä and Caterpillar engines.
• Managing engine room personnel and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as Chief Engineer or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Wärtsilä and Caterpillar engines.

• Good knowledge of engine room management and safety procedures.
