Job Description
A leading international shipping company is currently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a CONRO (Container Roll-on/Roll-off) Vessel operating on worldwide trading routes.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the engine department, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of propulsion machinery, auxiliary equipment, and technical systems while maintaining full compliance with international maritime regulations and company standards.
This opportunity is ideal for senior marine engineers with extensive CONRO, Ro-Ro, Container, or General Cargo vessel experience who are seeking a long-term international assignment.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage all engine department operations onboard
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of propulsion and auxiliary machinery
- Supervise engine room personnel and maintenance activities
- Implement and monitor the Planned Maintenance System (PMS)
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and machinery logs
- Ensure compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and company HSE procedures
- Coordinate spare parts management and engine room inventory
- Participate in emergency drills and inspections
- Maintain operational readiness throughout the voyage
Requirements
General Requirements
- Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC) with Flag State Endorsement
- Valid STCW 2010 certification package
- Minimum 24 months of actual sea service as Chief Engineer
- Previous experience on CONRO, Ro-Ro, Container, or General Cargo vessels preferred
- Valid passport
- Valid seaman's book
- Valid medical certificate
- References from previous employers
- Updated CV with complete sea service history
- Copies of all seaman's book pages confirming sea service
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Good English communication skills
- Strong leadership, technical, and safety management skills
- Physically and medically fit for sea service
