Job Description:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Chief Engineer to join an AHTS DP2 vessel operating in the UAE.
The position is offered on a 60–90 day contract with an ASAP joining date. Candidates must have extensive experience as Chief Engineer onboard similar DP2 vessels and meet the required DP experience criteria. ADNOC-approved candidates are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Managing and supervising all engine room operations and technical activities.
- Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of main and auxiliary machinery.
- Planning and supervising maintenance, inspections, and repairs of vessel machinery.
- Supporting reliable DP operations and ensuring technical systems are maintained in operational condition.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures, HSE standards, and international maritime regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid Chief Engineer’s License.
- Valid DPVM Certificate.
- Minimum 24 months of actual onboard experience in the rank of Chief Engineer on similar types of vessels.
- Minimum 1,000 DP hours.
- ADNOC approval is preferred.
- Valid COC and Endorsement.
- All valid STCW certificates.
- Valid Passport.
- Valid Seaman’s Book with documented sea service.
- Valid Medical Certificate.
- References from previous employers.
- Good English communication skills.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
