Job Description

OSM Thome Offshore is looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join an upcoming Accommodation W2W DP2 vessel project in Brunei. The Chief Engineer will oversee the vessel’s engineering department, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all machinery and technical systems.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Manage and supervise all engine-room operations and engineering personnel.
• Ensure the reliability and maintenance of propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary systems.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance and technical repairs.
• Monitor machinery performance and maintain engineering records.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, technical, and onboard safety requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 18–24 months of experience as Chief Engineer on the same type of vessel.
• Appropriate Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency and required endorsements.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Valid passport and seafarer’s documentation.
• Experience with offshore vessel engineering systems.
• Strong technical, supervisory, and problem-solving skills.
