Job Description: We are looking for a Chief Engineer (CE) to join a PSV DP2 vessel operating in Qatar. The role requires strong experience in dynamic positioning systems and vessel machinery management, with specific experience on Niigata equipment. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the engine room and all technical systems onboard, ensuring vessel readiness for offshore support operations.
Key Responsibilities: As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to: • Oversee operation and maintenance of all engine room systems onboard PSV DP2 vessel
• Ensure safe and efficient performance of propulsion and auxiliary machinery
• Manage technical readiness of DP2 systems in coordination with bridge team
• Supervise engine room crew and daily technical operations
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
• Troubleshoot and maintain main engine and Niigata equipment systems
Requirements: • Minimum 3 years in rank as Chief Engineer on DP2 vessels
• Experience with Niigata propulsion systems
• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Strong experience on PSV or offshore support vessels
• Proficiency in English communication
