Job Description
SSM Maritime Services Inc. is seeking a qualified Chief Engineer to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the engine department aboard an AHTS Non-DP vessel.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Manage and supervise all engine-room operations and machinery maintenance.
- Ensure the reliable operation of propulsion systems, generators, and auxiliary machinery.
- Plan preventive maintenance and coordinate technical repairs.
- Supervise engine-room personnel and enforce onboard safety procedures.
- Maintain technical records and ensure compliance with environmental and maritime regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (CoC).
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate.
- Relevant experience on AHTS or offshore support vessels.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Valid seafarer’s documents and applicable technical certificates.
