Job Description
An offshore company is currently looking for an experienced Bosun to join a Semi-Submersible Crane Vessel.
The Bosun will be responsible for supervising and coordinating deck operations, supporting lifting and cargo-handling activities, and ensuring that deck work is carried out safely and efficiently. Candidates must hold a valid BOSIET certificate approved by OPITO and have relevant Bosun experience.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Supervise and coordinate daily deck operations and activities.
- Lead deck crew during mooring, cargo-handling, lifting, and maintenance operations.
- Ensure safe use and handling of deck equipment, tools, and lifting gear.
- Conduct deck inspections and maintain good housekeeping and safety standards.
- Support offshore lifting and crane operations in coordination with the deck and crane teams.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Bosun is required
- Experience on Semi-Submersible Crane Vessels is an advantage
- Valid BOSIET – OPITO Approved
- Valid STCW certificates
- Valid medical fitness certificate
- Proficiency in English communication
- Valid passport and seaman’s book
- Relevant offshore experience and documentation
