Job Description:
Lowland is recruiting an experienced Bosun to join a Research Vessel for a short-term offshore assignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising deck activities, supporting vessel operations, and ensuring safe and efficient deck department performance during the project.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Supervise deck crew and daily deck operations
Coordinate mooring, anchoring, and deck activities
Assist with research vessel operations and equipment handling
Maintain deck equipment and working areas
Ensure compliance with onboard safety procedures
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid passport and seaman documents
Previous experience as Bosun in a similar position
Research vessel / offshore vessel experience preferred
Good knowledge of deck operations and safety procedures
