Job Description

Sheffield Energies is seeking an experienced Bosun to supervise and support deck crew activities onboard a deepwater pipelay and heavy crane construction vessel.

The Bosun will assist with deck maintenance, mooring and anchoring operations, cargo handling and preparation for offshore construction work, following the Chief Officer’s instructions and onboard safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous Bosun experience on offshore, pipelay, heavy-lift or construction vessels preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates appropriate to the position.
• Relevant offshore certificates, as required.
• Valid travel documents and seaman’s book.
• Experience with deck equipment, mooring operations and safe lifting practices.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Good command of English.
• Availability for mobilization in December 2026, subject to client approval.
