Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced Bosun for an AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply) vessel operating offshore in Africa.

The project is available for immediate mobilization (ASAP) with an 8-week contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising deck operations, coordinating the deck crew, and ensuring all cargo handling, mooring, anchor handling, and maintenance activities are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise and coordinate all deck operations and deck crew activities.
  • Assist with anchor handling, towing, mooring, and cargo operations.
  • Maintain deck equipment, mooring gear, and safety equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company HSE procedures and safe working practices.
  • Report operational issues and support the Deck Officers during offshore operations.

Requirements

  • Valid Bosun Certificate of Competency (CoC)
  • Valid STCW certificates
  • Valid medical fitness certificate
  • Proficiency in English communication
  • Previous offshore experience as a Bosun, preferably on AHTS vessels
