3rd Officer for SOV (Schengen Visa)

Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and competent 3rd Officer (JDPO / JDPO-HLO) to join an offshore vessel operating in European waters. The successful candidate will assist with navigational watchkeeping, support Dynamic Positioning (DP) operations, and contribute to the safe and efficient execution of offshore activities. This position is ideal for officers looking to develop their offshore experience within a professional and safety-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining navigational watch in accordance with international regulations and company procedures.
• Assisting senior DP officers during Dynamic Positioning operations.
• Supporting helicopter landing operations where applicable (JDPO-HLO).
• Maintaining navigational charts, publications, bridge equipment, and records.
• Participating in safety drills, inspections, and vessel compliance activities.

Requirements

• Valid STCW certificates.
• Medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Minimum 1 month of experience as 3rd Officer (JDPO) or 3rd Officer (JDPO-HLO).
• Applicants new to the Schulte Group must have a minimum of 3 months of experience in the relevant rank.
• Valid Navigational Watch Officer (Reg. II/1) Certificate of Competency.
• Valid Schengen Visa.
