Job Description:
Navis is recruiting an experienced 3rd Officer / DPO to join a Norwegian-flagged MPSV DP3 operating in the North Sea.
The vessel was built in 2016 and is equipped with a 250-tonne Active Heave Compensation (AHC) crane. Candidates must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) license, DP Full certification, and HUET with CA-EBS.
Applicants must have at least 12 months of actual onboard experience in the rank of 3rd Officer / DPO on MPSV, OCV, or DSV vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining a safe navigational watch in accordance with international regulations and vessel procedures.
- Operating and monitoring the vessel's Dynamic Positioning (DP) system.
- Supporting offshore operations, including activities involving the vessel's heavy-lift crane.
- Assisting with navigation, passage planning, and bridge documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with onboard safety procedures and emergency response requirements.
- Maintaining accurate operational records and reporting to senior officers.
Requirements:
- Valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) License.
- Valid DP Full certificate.
- Valid HUET with CA-EBS.
- Minimum 12 months of actual onboard experience as 3rd Officer / DPO.
- Experience on MPSV, OCV, or DSV vessels is mandatory.
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC) and endorsement.
- All valid STCW certificates.
- Valid passport and Seaman's Book.
- Valid medical fitness certificate.
- References from previous employers.
- Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
- Good English communication skills.
