Third Engineer to join Research Vessel

Job Description:

SWAR INDIA SHIPPING SERVICES PVT. LTD. is recruiting an experienced Third Engineer to join a Research Vessel (GRT 1000).

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of Engineering Officer experience, with good technical knowledge of engine maintenance, machinery inspections, and generator operations.

Experience with Wärtsilä and Caterpillar engines is required.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting the Chief Engineer with daily engine room operations.
• Carrying out routine machinery inspections and maintenance.
• Monitoring and maintaining generators and auxiliary machinery.
• Troubleshooting machinery defects and performing necessary repairs.
• Maintaining engine room records and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Minimum 5 years of Engineering Officer experience.
• Knowledge of Wärtsilä and Caterpillar engines.
• Experience in engine maintenance, inspections, and generator operations.
• Troubleshooting and overhaul experience.
• Good knowledge of English communication.
