Job Description:

A leading offshore operator is recruiting an experienced 3rd Engineer to join a SCOV DP3 (Subsea Construction Offshore Vessel) operating in the North Sea. The vessel is equipped with a 250-tonne Active Heave Compensated (AHC) crane and operates under the Norwegian flag. The successful candidate will join on 19 August for a 5-week offshore contract.

Open Position:

  •  3rd Engineer 

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Stand engineering watch and ensure the safe operation of engine room machinery. 
  •  Assist senior engineers with the operation and maintenance of propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary systems. 
  •  Perform planned and corrective maintenance in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System (PMS). 
  •  Monitor engine room equipment and report technical defects. 
  •  Maintain engine room logs and technical documentation. 
  •  Ensure compliance with ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, and company HSE procedures. 
  •  Support DP operations by ensuring engineering systems remain fully operational throughout offshore activities. 

Requirements:

  •  Valid Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) Certificate of Competency (CoC)
  •  Valid HUET certificate. 
  •  Valid CA-EBS certificate. 
  •  Valid STCW certificates and Endorsement. 
  •  Valid Seafarer's Medical Certificate. 
  •  Valid Passport. 
  •  Valid Seaman's Book. 
  • Minimum 12 months of offshore experience as 3rd Engineer onboard MPSV, OCV, or DSV vessels. 
  • Marlins English Test with a minimum score of 70% in all sections
  •  References from previous employers. 
  •  Fully vaccinated against COVID-19. 
  •  Good English communication skills.
