Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced 3rd Engineer to join a DP2 Multipurpose Support Vessel (MPSV) operating in the North Sea. The vessel is approximately 7,530 GRT, built in 2008, and registered under the Norwegian flag.
The successful candidate will work as part of the vessel's engine department and will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the vessel's machinery and engineering systems in accordance with company procedures and applicable maritime regulations.
The position is offered on a 4-week contract, with a joining date of 15 September. Candidates must hold an Officers in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) license and have a minimum of 12 months of actual onboard experience as a 3rd Engineer on similar types of vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Operating, monitoring, and maintaining main and auxiliary machinery and associated engineering systems.
• Carrying out planned maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with company procedures.
• Assisting the Chief Engineer and engine department with safe and efficient engine-room operations.
• Maintaining accurate records of machinery operation, maintenance, and required documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and maritime regulations.
Requirements:
• Valid Officers in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) license.
• Valid STCW certificates and relevant Norwegian flag endorsement, where applicable.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Minimum 12 months of actual onboard experience as 3rd Engineer on similar vessels.
• Experience on MPSV/DP2 or comparable offshore support vessels is required.
• Valid passport and seaman's book with documented sea service.
• Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
