Job Description
A leading international shipping company is currently seeking an experienced 3rd Engineer to join Container Vessels operating on worldwide trading routes, including M/V Chennai Express (valid U.S. Visa required) and M/V RDO Fortune.
The successful candidate will support engine room operations, maintain propulsion and auxiliary machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company HSE procedures.
This opportunity is ideal for qualified marine engineers with previous Container Vessel experience who are ready for immediate deployment.

Job Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain propulsion and auxiliary machinery
- Perform engine room watchkeeping duties
- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs
- Monitor engine room equipment and machinery performance
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues
- Maintain accurate engine room records and maintenance logs
- Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings
- Ensure compliance with STCW requirements, ISM Code, MARPOL, and company HSE policies
- Maintain operational readiness and effective teamwork onboard
Requirements
- Valid Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 12 months of sea service as 3rd Engineer
- Valid STCW certification package
- Valid CoC and Flag State Endorsement
- Valid passport
- Valid U.S. Visa is required for M/V Chennai Express
- Valid seaman book with documented sea service
- Previous employer references
- Valid medical certificate
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Good English communication skills
- Strong technical knowledge of marine engineering systems
- Physically and medically fit for sea service
