3rd Engineer for SOV (Schengen Visa)

Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified 3rd Engineer / 2nd Engineer Trainee to join a vessel operating in European waters. The successful candidate will assist in the operation, maintenance, and repair of the vessel's machinery and engineering systems, ensuring safe and efficient engine room operations in compliance with company procedures and international maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with the operation and maintenance of main engines, auxiliary machinery, and engine room equipment.
• Standing engineering watches and monitoring machinery performance.
• Conducting routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maintaining accurate engine room logs, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
• Supporting safety, environmental, and emergency response procedures onboard.

Requirements

• Valid STCW certificates.
• Medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Minimum 12 months of experience as 2nd Engineer Trainee or 3rd Engineer.
• Valid Engineering Watch Officer (Reg. III/1) Certificate of Competency.
• Valid Schengen Visa.
