Job Description

Apremar is inviting applications from qualified and experienced 2nd Officers for its offshore fleet.

The successful candidate will support the Master and Chief Officer with navigational watchkeeping, passage planning, bridge operations and onboard safety duties, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out navigational watchkeeping duties.
• Assist with passage planning and navigation documentation.
• Monitor bridge equipment and navigational systems.
• Support deck operations and onboard safety activities.
• Inspect assigned safety and lifesaving equipment.
• Participate in emergency drills and maintain accurate records.

Requirements

• Valid National CoC appropriate to the 2nd Officer position.
• Minimum 2 years of experience on offshore vessels.
• At least 6 months of experience on the same vessel type.
• Previous experience as a 2nd Officer on offshore vessels.
• Valid STCW certificates and relevant professional endorsements.
• Valid medical fitness certificate, passport and seaman’s book, as applicable.
• Good navigational, communication and teamwork skills.
• ADNOC approval eligibility is an advantage.

Employment Details

Vessel: Offshore Fleet
Rotation Options: 4 months on / 30 days off, or 2–3 months on / 1 month off, depending on the assignment.
