Job Description

Navis is recruiting an experienced 3rd Officer / DPO to join a DP3 Multi-Purpose Support Vessel (MPSV) operating in the North Sea.

The successful candidate will support bridge operations, navigational watchkeeping and dynamic positioning activities during offshore operations. Applicants must hold a valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) licence, a Full DP Certificate and the required offshore safety qualifications.

A minimum of 12 months of actual onboard experience in the rank of 3rd Officer / DPO on MPSV, OCV or DSV vessels is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out navigational watchkeeping duties in accordance with international regulations and company procedures.
• Support DP operations and maintain safe vessel positioning during offshore activities.
• Assist with passage planning, bridge equipment checks and navigational documentation.
• Support offshore construction and lifting operations in coordination with the bridge and deck teams.
• Monitor navigational and DP equipment and report any abnormalities.
• Participate in emergency drills and comply with onboard safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate operational and navigational records.

Requirements

• Valid Officer of the Watch (OOW) Licence / Certificate of Competency (CoC).
• Valid Full Dynamic Positioning (DP) Certificate.
• Valid HUET certificate with CA-EBS.
• Minimum 12 months of actual onboard experience as 3rd Officer / DPO on MPSV, OCV or DSV vessels.
• Valid CoC, endorsements and all applicable STCW certificates.
• Valid passport and seaman’s book.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Full COVID-19 vaccination, as required by the recruiter.
• Good command of English.
• Availability to join on 18 November 2026 for the full four-week assignment.
