Job Description:

We are currently looking for a qualified 2nd Officer to join a Cable Lay Vessel supporting offshore wind and cable installation operations in the United States. The project is expected to commence in July (date to be confirmed) and will run for approximately 6 weeks. The successful candidate will assist with navigation, watchkeeping, and operational support while ensuring compliance with company policies and international maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
• Maintaining safe navigational watches in accordance with international regulations
• Assisting in voyage planning and navigational documentation
• Supporting offshore cable laying and wind farm-related operations
• Ensuring compliance with safety management systems and company procedures
• Maintaining navigational equipment, charts, and bridge records

Requirements:

• Valid STCW certificates
• Medical fitness certificate
• Proficiency in English communication
• Valid B1 OCS Wind Activities certification
• Valid GWO Sea Survival (GWO SS) certificate
• Valid BOSIET certificate
• Previous offshore experience on cable lay or similar offshore support vessels is preferred
