Job Description

Sheffield Energies is recruiting a qualified 2nd Engineer for a deepwater pipelay and heavy crane construction vessel.

The role involves supporting the Chief Engineer with engine-room operations, machinery maintenance, troubleshooting and planned maintenance activities to ensure the safe and reliable operation of onboard technical systems.

Requirements

• Previous 2nd Engineer experience on offshore, pipelay, heavy-lift or construction vessels preferred.
• Valid Certificate of Competency appropriate to the 2nd Engineer position.
• Valid STCW certificates and relevant offshore certificates.
• Valid travel documents and seaman’s book.
• Good knowledge of marine machinery, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work effectively within an engine department team.
• Good command of English.
• Availability for December 2026 mobilization, subject to client approval.
• Expatriate candidates preferred for officer positions.
