Job Description
South Point is recruiting two experienced Fitters for an LNG Bunker Vessel operating in Singapore waters.
The successful candidates will assist the engine department with mechanical repairs, fabrication, maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery and equipment onboard.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repair work.
- Assist with dismantling, inspecting and reassembling machinery components.
- Carry out basic fitting, machining and fabrication tasks as required.
- Support preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
- Follow safe working practices and maintain tools and work areas.
- Report defects and maintenance requirements to the engineering team.
Requirements
- Malaysian nationality – mandatory.
- Previous experience onboard LNG vessels – mandatory.
- Relevant experience as a marine Fitter.
- Valid STCW certificates and applicable medical fitness certification.
- Valid passport and seaman’s book.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certificates, where applicable.
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance and safe workshop practices.
- Familiarity with LNG bunkering operations is an advantage.
- Good command of English.
- Availability to join in December 2026.
