Job Description:
Global Gateway Crewing Services Inc. is currently hiring an experienced Fitter to join a Bulk Carrier Vessel. The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and supporting the engine and deck departments with various technical tasks onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance of vessel machinery and equipment.
Perform welding, fabrication, cutting, and fitting work as required.
Assist with planned maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
Maintain tools and workshop equipment in safe working condition.
Follow onboard safety procedures and company maintenance standards.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Fitter
Bulk Carrier experience preferred
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
Valid seafarer's documents
Good command of English
Relevant mechanical, welding, and fabrication skills
Ability to work safely as part of a multinational crew
