Job Description:
Star Ocean Manning Philippines Inc. is recruiting Chief Engineers for tanker vessels. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and management of the vessel's machinery and engineering department.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Manage the overall operation and maintenance of the engine department.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of main and auxiliary machinery.
Supervise engineering crew and planned maintenance activities.
Monitor machinery performance and coordinate repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Relevant experience as Chief Engineer
Previous tanker vessel experience preferred
