Job Description:
An established shipping company is recruiting 2 experienced Chief Engineers to join Chemical Tanker vessels in August 2026. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel's engine department, including propulsion machinery, auxiliary systems, maintenance, and technical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Manage and supervise all engine-room operations and engineering personnel.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of the main engine and auxiliary machinery.
Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance.
Ensure compliance with company, flag-state, and international safety regulations.
Maintain accurate technical records and manage engine-room spares and equipment.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Previous experience as Chief Engineer onboard Chemical Tankers or similar vessels
Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
Relevant tanker training and certification as applicable
