Job Description:
Shipping Preeminent and Management Corp. is urgently recruiting a Chief Engineer (MDM II/2) for domestic General Cargo operations. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and management of the vessel’s main and auxiliary machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Supervise all engine-room operations and maintenance activities.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of main and auxiliary machinery.
Plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance.
Supervise engine-room ratings and technical work.
Maintain machinery records and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
Requirements:
Valid STCW certificates
Valid MDM II/2 Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Previous General Cargo and experience preferred
Valid Seaman’s Book
Philippine domestic eligibility required
