Job Description
Minerva Marine Agency, Inc. is seeking qualified Chief Engineers to manage engine department operations aboard tanker, bulk, and container vessels.
Key Responsibilities
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Manage the operation and maintenance of propulsion machinery and auxiliary systems.
- Supervise engine-room personnel and assign maintenance responsibilities.
- Ensure machinery reliability and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Plan preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs.
- Maintain technical records and manage engine-room stores and spare parts.
Requirements
- Valid Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (CoC).
- Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate.
- Relevant experience on the applicable vessel type.
- Proficiency in English communication.
- Complete and valid seafarer’s documents and certificates.
