Chief Engineer for Gas Tanker / VLGC Vessels

Job Description

Wilhelmsen Marine Personnel (Philippines) Inc. is seeking qualified Chief Engineers to oversee engine-room operations aboard Fully Refrigerated Gas Tanker / VLGC vessels.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Manage all engine-room operations and machinery maintenance.
• Ensure reliable operation of propulsion and auxiliary systems.
• Plan preventive maintenance and supervise technical repairs.
• Manage engine-room personnel and enforce safety procedures.
• Maintain technical records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Requirements

• Valid Chief Engineer’s Certificate of Competency (CoC), as applicable.
• Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness certificate.
• Relevant experience in the same rank and on the required vessel type.
• Valid seafarer’s documents and applicable gas tanker qualifications.
• Proficiency in English communication.
