Job Description:
The Chief Engineer manages all engine room operations, ensuring safe and efficient operation of mechanical, electrical, and auxiliary systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise engine room operations and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Manage engineering crew and assign tasks.
• Maintain records of machinery operation and repairs.
• Support the Master in vessel operation and emergency situations.
Requirements:
• Valid Gas Course and DC certification.
• Medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Nationality: Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi.
• Prior experience as Chief Engineer on gas tankers preferred.
