Location: Philippines / International (Chemical Tanker Fleet)
Job Description:
An immediate and urgent opportunity exists for a Chief Officer on international chemical tankers. The position is critical for ensuring the safe and efficient cargo operations and deck management of the vessel. Candidates must be prepared for a dynamic work environment with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and operational excellence. This role involves direct responsibility for the vessel's cargo systems, stability, and the supervision of deck crew.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
· Planning, supervising, and executing all cargo loading, discharging, tank cleaning, and gas-freeing operations in strict compliance with safety procedures.
· Managing deck department operations, maintenance, and ensuring the seaworthiness of all deck equipment and safety gear.
· Standing navigational watches and assuming command of the vessel as required.
· Ensuring strict adherence to international regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.), company Safety Management System (SMS), and chemical tanker-specific procedures.
· Training and mentoring junior deck officers and ratings, and maintaining all required deck department documentation.
Requirements:
· Valid STCW certificates, including all chemical tanker endorsements (Advanced Training for Chemical Tanker Operations).
· Valid medical fitness certificate from an approved seafarer's clinic.
· Proficiency in English communication (written and spoken).
· Preferably holds a valid US Visa.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience as Chief Officer or 2+ years as C/O on chemical tankers.

· Contract Duration: Standard seafarer contract (e.g., 4-6 months on/off, subject to negotiation).
