Job Description
A leading tanker operator is urgently seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join a Chemical Tanker fleet operating in Spain on a 90/90 rotation schedule.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the engine department, machinery operations, maintenance planning, technical compliance, and safe vessel operation while ensuring adherence to international maritime regulations and company procedures.

Job Responsibilities
Manage all engine room operations and personnel
Oversee maintenance and repair programs
Monitor machinery performance and fuel efficiency
Ensure compliance with ISM, MARPOL, and company procedures
Coordinate troubleshooting and technical support activities
Supervise engine room safety and environmental compliance
Maintain technical records and reports
Requirements
Valid STCW certification package
Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency
Advanced Chemical Tanker Training Certificate
Experience with MAN 6L21/31 machinery
Diesel Electric and VFD experience required
Previous Chemical Tanker experience preferred
Valid passport, seaman book, and medical certificate
Good English communication skills
