Job Description:
Michaelmar Phils., Inc. is urgently hiring an experienced Chief Engineer (C/E) to join a Bulk Carrier Vessel. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for the overall management, safe operation, maintenance, and performance of the vessel's engine department and machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Manage and supervise all engine department operations.
Ensure safe and efficient operation of the main engine and auxiliary machinery.
Plan and supervise preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Monitor machinery performance and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Manage the engine department crew and ensure proper implementation of company procedures.
Requirements:
Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency
Previous experience as Chief Engineer on Bulk Carriers Vessel
Relevant experience in the same rank and vessel type
Valid STCW certificates
Medical fitness certificate
Proficiency in English communication
Valid seafarer's documents and relevant certificates
Availability for urgent deployment
