Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced Indonesian Chief Engineer to oversee the technical operation and maintenance of a vessel within an international cargo fleet. The successful candidate must have proven experience in the same rank and vessel type and be comfortable managing machinery operations with a multinational crew.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Supervising the safe and efficient operation of the engine department.
• Managing the maintenance and repair of main engines, auxiliary machinery, and technical systems.
• Planning and overseeing preventive maintenance.
• Managing engine-room personnel and assigning duties.
• Monitoring fuel, lubricants, spare parts, and technical resources.
• Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and applicable maritime regulations.
• Maintaining technical records and reporting machinery defects.

Requirements

• Indonesian nationality.
• Valid Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency and relevant STCW 2010 certificates.
• All documents and certificates valid for at least 18 months.
• Experience as Chief Engineer on the same vessel type.
• Minimum 36 months of foreign-going vessel experience.
• Experience working with multinational crews.
• Good English communication and leadership skills.
• Medical fitness for sea service.
