Job Description:

SSM Maritime Services Inc. is seeking a qualified Second Officer to join a bulk carrier. The role involves navigational watchkeeping, passage planning, bridge documentation, and supporting safe vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities:

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Maintain navigational watches as assigned.
• Assist with voyage planning and chart corrections.
• Maintain nautical publications and bridge records.
• Monitor navigational equipment and safety procedures.
• Support emergency preparedness and deck operations.

Requirements:

• Relevant Second Officer Certificate of Competency.
• Previous experience on bulk carriers preferred.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
