2nd Engineer for General Cargo Vessel

Job Description

PT Nesia Cipta Akasah is recruiting a Second Engineer (2/E) for an 18,000 GRT General Cargo Vessel. The Second Engineer will assist the Chief Engineer in the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the vessel’s main propulsion, auxiliary machinery, and engine-room systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising engine-room operations and assigned engineering crew.
• Monitoring main engine, generators, pumps, and auxiliary machinery.
• Carrying out planned and corrective maintenance.
• Supporting troubleshooting, repairs, and machinery inspections.
• Maintaining engineering records and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Second Engineer CoC appropriate for the vessel.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Relevant experience as Second Engineer on General Cargo or similar vessels.
• Valid Seafarer’s Book and passport.
• Proficiency in English communication.
