Job Description:
The 2nd Engineer assists the Chief Engineer in operating and maintaining all engine room machinery, supervising the engineering crew, and ensuring vessel propulsion and auxiliary systems function efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily engine room operations.
• Assist Chief Engineer in machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Monitor engine performance and report abnormalities.
• Maintain records of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
• Valid Gas Course and DC certification.
• Medical fitness certificate.
• Proficiency in English communication.
• Nationality: Sri Lankan or Bangladeshi.
• Prior experience on gas tankers preferred.
