2nd Engineer for Chemical Tanker Vessel

Job Description

Aaugustea is recruiting 1 Second Engineer for a Chemical Tanker. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Chief Engineer in the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the vessel's propulsion, auxiliary machinery, and engine-room systems.

Experience with FRAMO cargo pumping systems is required, as the vessel operates with FRAMO pumps.

Key Responsibilities

As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:

• Supervising engine-room operations and maintenance activities.
• Monitoring and maintaining main and auxiliary machinery.
• Supporting the operation and maintenance of FRAMO-related systems as applicable.
• Planning and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Supervising engine-room ratings and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid Second Engineer CoC.
• Valid STCW certificates.
• Valid Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Relevant experience as Second Engineer on Chemical Tankers.
• FRAMO pumps experience/background.
• Valid Seafarer's Book and passport.
• Proficiency in English communication.
