Job Description:
An urgent recruitment is underway for an experienced 2nd Engineer to join a Bulk Carrier (GRT 30,000). The company is seeking a qualified engine officer with proven experience on the same vessel type. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting engine room operations and ensuring the safe and efficient performance of all machinery onboard.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in the daily operation of the engine department.
- Supervise maintenance and repair of main and auxiliary machinery.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and international maritime regulations.
- Maintain engine room records and planned maintenance schedules.
- Promote safe working practices onboard.
Requirements:
- Valid STCW certificates
- Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
- Proficiency in English communication
- Previous experience as 2nd Engineer on Bulk Carrier vessels is mandatory
- Valid Passport and Seaman's Book
- Valid Certificate of Competency (CoC)
Employment Details:
- Joining Date: On or before 20 August
- Contract Duration: As per company policy
- Salary: USD 7,500/month
