Job Description:
PT. Veratama Global is recruiting an experienced 2nd Engineer to join a Bulk Carrier vessel in mid-August 2026. The successful candidate must have experience in the same rank and vessel type, foreign-going vessel experience, and previous experience working with a mixed-nationality crew.
Key Responsibilities:
As per company policy, the main duties may include but are not limited to:
Assist the Chief Engineer with the safe operation of the engine department.
Supervise maintenance and operation of main and auxiliary machinery.
Monitor engine room equipment and machinery performance.
Coordinate planned maintenance and repair activities.
Ensure compliance with onboard safety and environmental procedures.
Requirements:
Valid 2nd Engineer Certificate of Competency
All required documents available and not held by another agency
Documents valid for a minimum of 18 months
Good command of English
Good professional knowledge and attitude
Proven experience in the same rank and on Bulk Carrier vessels
Previous foreign-going vessel experience
Experience working with mixed-nationality crews
Valid STCW certificates
Valid medical fitness certificate
