Description
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Marine Transportation, or equivalent industry experience.
Licensed Mariner with relevant sea going experience is preferred or high-level knowledge and experience with FMEA and Dynamic Positioning, both technical and operational.
8+ years of experience with or on Drill Ships, MODU’s or offshore construction/pipelay/diving support vessels with focus on DP system equipment operation.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance, health, safety and environmental issues, and experience conducting or being part of marine audits.
Strong knowledge of International Safety Management Code (ISM), Standards for Training, Safety Management System (SMS) and/or Safety & Environmental Management Systems (SEMS).
Solid understanding and working knowledge related to industry application of societies rules, such as the IMCA, IMO, MTS, USCG, ABS, DNV and ability to research national and international regulations and guidelines.
Must possess skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Outlook.
Requires the ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.
Excellent communicator, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Strong organization skills, an ability to multi-task, work under pressure, establish priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced, changing environment.
Ability to use independent judgment and discretion to develop and execute innovative solutions to crew and management issues.
Travel is an essential job function (domestic, international and offshore).
